Erica Magrey aka Metalmags was one of the earliest songfighters, appearing in eight fights including the Dad I'm Changing fight, where she took the victory with the help of her father. A friend of Narbotic, he convinced her not only to move beyond her Sanyo tape recorder to a 4-track, but also to song fight. Her Metalmags persona is that of a gold-clad super-heroine. She has released one album of her work, called From Mags to Riches.
