Niveous

Johnny Cashpoint once referred to Niveous' music style as "acoustic lo-fi goth punk" and that is a pretty fair description. A New York born rocker, Niveous has always been drawn to the sounds of acoustic guitars over electric ones, preferred punchy chords over sweet notes, written dark lyrics instead of uplifting ones and has never gotten the full grasp of music production. Inspired from too numerous sources to count, Niveous set out starting at age 12 to get himself a rock band. After numerous failed attempts, he took a brief sabbatical from music, focusing on his other love- writing science fiction. But then he found Song Fight and it gave him the musical outlet that he needed.

As a part of the Song Fight community, Niveous has been in over 30 songfights. He has entered solo songs as well as songs in various collaborations including x-tokyo-river-god, Silent E and Transatlantic Fight Club. He has also written songs for Luke Henley, Lunkhead, Phunt and others. Niveous is also very involved in sidefights, organizing the holiday celebration The Gift of Music alongside Eddiebangs and the elimination challenge, the Nur Ein.

Outside of the community, Niveous has released one Album A Day called The Scattershot, one album Organizations and is currently working on several other projects including a concept album featuring an all-star songfight band, a new solo album called Dead Girl Twelve and an album of songs written by him called Broken Monster. Broken Monster chronicles Niveous' struggle and recovery from chronic depression.
